Hi Sandbox Community,

Just want to make you aware of three new labs just released yesterday and others we plan to EOL in the coming weeks.

Firstly, the new labs:

IOS XRd

XRd is a containerised IOS-XR operating system that you can deploy on any kind of on-premises or public cloud infrastructure. XRd inherits all the programmability aspects, including NETCONF and YANG models, from IOS-XR.
The XRd Sandbox provides an environment where developers and network engineers can explore the programmability options available. The lab consists of:

Sandbox is available to reserve here. Check it out.

Meraki Always-On

We received lots of negative feedback on the old Meraki AO sandbox. Users were constantly confronted with a 2FA problem and could not go any further.
We have change the access method to this new sandbox. Previously, a universal email and password was provided for all users. This is no longer the case. Upon Launch, the users email will be added to the existing DevNet Sandbox AO Meraki organisation. Users will receive an email with instructions and have readonly access to the organisation and network. At the end of the reservation, the account is removed. Not exactly an AO sandbox but will allow users get around any 2FA issues while maintaining the functionality of the old sandbox. Users can reserve for up to five days at a time.

Check out the new lab here. Have fun!!

Catalyst Center

Cisco Catalyst Center (formerly known as Cisco Digital Network Architecture or DNAC) offers centralised, intuitive management that makes it fast and easy to design new networks, provision existing ones, and apply policies across your network environment.
This Cisco Catalyst Center Sandbox consists of a virtualised Controller and a virtualised sample network topology containing network elements and hosts that developers can utilise for the duration of the reservation.

Sandbox is available to reserve here

AppDynamics Sandboxes End Of Life

We have made the difficult decision to EOL our App Dynamics labs. This includes AppD On-Prem and AppD SaaS labs. These will be removed on 30th September 2024.

Once again, thank you all for supporting DevNet Sandbox.

For the XRd sandbox, check out this repository https://github.com/CiscoDevNet/XRd-Sandbox where you can find how the sandbox was built, notes and files used. We will be updating the sandbox instructions with this new repository.
