My reserved sandbox was created successfully but when I try to VPN using AnyConnect from the Windows store, I get a certificate error (Untrusted Server). I turned off Block Untrusted Servers in the AnyConnect settings and I'm still unable to connect. It shows that the OpenSSL certificate expired on Oct 11, 2025.
What is the work around for this?

I'm no longer seeing Security Warning: Untrusted Server after rebooting. However, my VPN credentials aren't working. I'm getting login failed.

What sandbox is this @terence-hall ? and is your reservation still active? that might explain if the VPN credentials don't work. if the reservation is still active, can you share the environment id? you can find it on the url of the active lab you are using.

Hi @Jesus Illescas,
It's the Catalyst 8/9k Single Instance Sandbox and it's still active.
Environment ID: JLd9dspkFvPf

@terence-hall I tested the sandbox and got the same error as you. I shared this with the sandbox team so they can take a look.

Ok Thank you. Once resolved, can I extend the sandbox time period or will I need to register for a new one?

Hi @terence-hall ,
Looks like the cert has expired but you can still accept the self signed cert if you wish.
I will update that cert tomorrow.
Thanks for letting us know.

In some sandboxes the time can be extended while in other don't. I consider is best to grab a new reservation once the issue is solved. I will share here once I have news from the sandbox team
