Which VPN Client for Windows PC

I am running into an issue where I cannot connect to the VPN client on my company Windows machine. I do not have a service contract tied to my profile, so I cannot use Cisco AnyConnect or Secure Client. The workaround, per https://developer.cisco.com/docs/sandbox/getting-started/#sandbox-vpn-info, is to use Openconnect.

I can use Openconnect on my personal Mac at home without issue. When I try and use Openconnect on a Windows PC, I am prompted for the Openconnect server IP and login credentials. After running down the rabbit trail with the Openconnect chat, it appears you have to have a paid membership, yet their membership and pricing URLs are broken.

Is there a workaround to getting VPN connectivity on a Windows box into a reserved sandbox.

Thanks

this link shows it as free:

did you try to download it ?

Yes. OpenConnect has been downloaded via their documentation.

The download is not the issue. Once inside the GUI, in order to connect, you must first connect to one of their servers, THEN you can VPN into the sandbox. The resulting issue is that you must have a paid membership with a username/password in order to log in to their server. Their plans url is broken, so the workaround to even pay for a membership is not valid.

On Mac, installing OpenConnect with Homebrew and running "sudo openconnect {{ devent_url }}" works without issue, leading me to believe this is an issue specifically with Windows connectivity via OpenConnect.

I have also tried installing OpenConnect with chocolatey in PowerShell, and running the VPN there, with the same issue. Authentication is trying to hit their VPN server and not directly into the DevNet sandbox, resulting in failed authentication.

I think OpenVPN is free for windows, but AnyConnect is meant to free also. Odd that works on your Mac but not Windows
