VPN IPsec between Cisco router and third party FW

Hello,

We have a lot of IPSEC VPNs L2L using the VTI (interface tunnel , with tunnel mode ipsec ipv4,etc), but always between Cisco routers.

Now I have to establish a VPN L2L with another FW vendor (that probably is not going to have a tunnel interface with ip address,etc).

So the question is should I configure on my side (cisco router) a VTI or "classic" IPSEC tunnel with crypto map and crypto ACLs ? I know the later is going to work but is legacy, but I am not sure if the VTI is going to work with a 3rd party device.

what do you recommend for these cases?

Does anyone know this? In summary I am asking if VTI is ok to establish a VPN to a 3rd party device and if not what you would configure to establish a VPN from Cisco Router to a 3rd party device.
