Hi
I wanted to use IOx debug commands to see why my GOS is not starting. I entered "debug iox", as shown below, and then tried to start the GOS. The GOS is not starting, as shown by the result of the "show iox host list detail" command, but nor do I see any additional logging output to indicate why not.
IR829-DevTest#debug iox
IOX debugging is on
IR829-DevTest#guest-os 1 start
Starting Guest OS ...... Done!
IR829-DevTest#
*Mar 7 12:53:27.479: %IR800_INSTALL-6-SUCCESS_GOS_OPERATION: Successfully perfo
rmed START operation for GOS.
IR829-DevTest#
IR829-DevTest#show iox host list detail
IOX Server is running. Process ID: 323
Count of hosts registered: 0
IOX Server Address: 0.0.0.0; Port: 22222
Any ideas please?
Many thanks
Nathan

1, "Debug iox" is workable at 15.6(1)T1 and also has output during GOS rebooting.
2, Please use "show platform guest-os" instead of ""show iox host list detail" to check the Guest OS's status. "show iox host list detail" is to check if GOS register to IOS. If it is not register correctly, please double check if "IPv6" has been enable at GE5.

on 15.6(2)T `show platform guest-os` gives an error:
Error: failed to get Guest OS status

Hi Dmitriy,
Guess you did not configure the IOx nodes well. Please refer to https://developer.cisco.com/media/iox-dev-guide-6-23-16/platforms/platform-ir8xx/, or https://developer.cisco.com/media/iox-dev-guide-6-23-16/platforms/platform-isr8xx/ for how to configure them.
