Hi,
I am trying to run the .ova file on oracle's VM virtual box, which i got as a result of following c819 cookbook. But am encountering error saying
Failed to import appliance /tmp/myiox-app/test.ova.
First file in the OVA package must have the extension 'ovf'. But the file 'app_manifest.yaml' has the different extension (VERR_FILE_NOT_FOUND).
Is there any way to run the .ova file on VM virtual box? Please help.
Regards,
Darshan.S.R

Yes, you are correct.
As C819 is based on PowerPC, not X86, the ova file are not deployable on VMware or VirtualBox now.

Please use Local App Manager or IOx App Manager to deploy the ova files on C819 (refer to the Chapter 4.9 in cook book). And then you may run the applications accordingly on the physical node.
Thanks,
Steve

Hi Steve,
Thanks for the response.
So, if am not wrong, the .ova files can ONLY be DEPLOYED and TESTED on ROUTER but CAN'T be DEPLOY and TEST without router. Is it so?
