I'd like to get an Ironport AsyncOS 5.1 to authenticate against Exchange 2007. But apparently Exchange expects AUTH LOGIN and Ironport sends AUTH PLAIN. Is that correct or am I configuring something wrong?
Ironport can be configured to use SASL LOGIN mechanism when contacting forwarding server. You should be able to configure this when setting up an smtp authentication profile('network -> smtp authentication' link in GUI).
