Cisco ESA and DSN

Hello!

We use Cisco ESA and we need the sender to receive the DSN from the recipient's mail server, not from Cisco ESA.
Please explain what needs to be configured.

It depends on which bounce message you mean. If you mean the bounce for invalid recipients, you need to change listener config. At the bottom under LDAP Queries, set the accept query, and check the box for SMTP conversation. That way the mail isn't accepted at all, and the bounce should happen from the sending mail server.

Hi, Ken.

Thanks for the reply.

I meant DSN for successfully delivered emails that are sent by our local users to external servers.

For example, what we need:

<sample@mail.ru>: delivery via mxs.mail.ru[94.100.180.104]:25: 250 OK
    id=1mdabo-0008VJ-Df

But now we get:

Message sent to 'sample@mail.ru' SMTP module(domain mail.ru) reports:

relayed via 10.0.0.1,10.0.0.2

Any advice, please?

if I am reading this correctly you have the following case :

external sender -> Ironport -> your email like O365.

you want O365 to create a NDR instead of the Ironports. This should be standard behavior if you setup your default route in O365 to go back out via the Ironports.
