Cisco ESA Email Encryption | Local Encryption Appliance

Hi,

One of customer would like to configure email encryption in their ESA. But their query is that they have any local appliance option other than CES?. The requirement is that when the recipient opens that the encrypted email should stay in their local premises and should not go to the cisco cloud. Is there any option like this?.

CES is cloud based, so you will need a non Cisco onprem solution for this requirement.

Look at onprem secure email solutions like Protonmail, ZIXMail or others.

Any update on the query. I could see that the ESA 12.0 configuration guide mentions about a local encryption appliance. Did anyone use this option recently?.
