Hi,
Now and then some senders that do not have a DMARC record published end up getting aborted due to "DMARC Error during verification (DNS temporary error while fetching the DMARC record)", even though there is no record to fetch. The name resolution seem to be working fine, at least I have no problem resolving records that are actually there.
My DMARC verification policy is set to do exactly this on temporary and permanent failure, but that should not trigger if the sending part haven't got a DMARC record published.
Anyone know what is causing this? There are just a handful domains that we know of, but we cannot figure out why it happens. Maybe it's recommended to configure the actions for temporary and permanent failure different?
Regards
Michael
