Recently I have upgraded a few machines with O365 from the old Email Security Button 7.5 to the newer 1.2 version. On the machines that I have upgraded they receive the following error when outlook is fully loaded: "Daemon Command Failed". Sometimes on launch an error will display: "Only the Decryption functionality is enabled. An error occurred while processing configuration. Contact your administrator for assistance."
When I send the BCE Config file and try to open the email, I receive "Daemon Failed Command"
All machines in question are Windows 10 with 0365. On a test box with a fresh install of windows and 0365, the plugin installs and works great.
On the failed boxes I have tried uninstalling the plugin completely and installing again, but received the same failed results.
I saw a help article provided by Cisco that suggested sending the BCE Config from a working box instead of CRES, which I tried, and this also failed.
Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated; thank you.

I appreciate your reply Angalik.
I have a current TAC ticket open, but have not received followups yet (that's why I came here). The rep suggested the 1.2 version to me, so that is where I started.
Per your suggestion, I removed the old button installation and installed the 7.6 version from your link. Outlook launched fine and did not give an immediate Daemon error, but once I tried to decrypt the email with BCE Config file, I received daemon command failed. I then sent the BCE from a working machine and received the same error.

We ran across the same issue in my company with 1 user and turns out they were on the wrong version of Java. Make sure the computer has Java version 8_161 installed.
