ESA C370s - Upgrade to AsyncOS 10.

Hey All,

We have 2 ESA's C370's in a cluster. I noticed that AsyncOS 10 is currently out. Would we be ok to upgrade our C370's to AsyncOS10 ? THey are currently Running 9.7.1.

I am asking because of this :

Supported Hardware for This Release

All virtual appliance models.

The following hardware models:

C380, C390, C680, or C690

C170 or C190

Some C370, C370D, C670 or X1070 appliances

To determine whether your appliance is supported, and to remedy the situation if it is not

currently compatible, see

http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/field-notices/638/fn63931.html.

The following hardware is NOT supported for this release:

C160, C360, C660, and X1060

The above documentation is from the release notes for AsyncOS 10. I clicked on the included links and the document it takes me to is not clear on whether or not I can upgrade *OUR* C370s to AsyncOS 10. The only it mentions is that if your Ironport has less 4GB of RAM things might go slow.

We have 8GB of RAM in our IronPort's.

Thanks,

Robert

Keep in mind that 10.0.0-125 is Limited Deployment (LD), this is not the final General Deployment (GD) release at this time.

It is possible that we can provision you and you can upgrade any/all appliances to this release, if you would like to take that step.

As long as you have x70, x80, x90 hardware, and your x70 appliances do have 8GB RAM, you are good to proceed.

At this time, the GD release of 10.x is on track, but no ETA for that release.

Ok thanks. At this time we will wait until the Limited Deployment is finalized and made a General Deployment release.
