ESA licensing and clustering

Hi expert,

I have some questions on ESA - virtual appliance.

1. When installed ESA on VM with ESA licensing. If i copy the VM guest OS to another VM, does the licensing is valid or  not? 

2. When I want to do a cluster for two ESA virtual appliance, what licensing required I need?

1. If you clone a VM, you have to reapply the license fIle. I prefer to just deploy a new one, apply the license, rrun the setup wizard to.get all.the network setup, and join it to the cluster. I'm pretty sure cloning a running one will cause issues...

2 no special license needed, just be on a modern version. I forget when they started including the clustering license, but all of the new stuff includes it.

But for the question (2), for the cluster, I think one requirement is two vESA should have the valid licensing. right?

Ye's. You use the ssme license file on each ESAV.
