Hi, I am looking to mass deploy the Cisco Email Security Plugin but a bit confused.
The 7.6 admin guide states to verify that the CommonComponentsConfig.xml file includes tags:
<accountFileName>
<accountFileName filePath="config_1.xml"
emailAddressAnd KeyServer="*" />
I have checked this file and the above tags do not exist. The guide does not advise what to do if they are not listed. Does anyone know if I am missing something?
Thank you.

Hi Judith,
You may have copied over the incorrect CommonComponentsConfig.xml file when constructing a custom configuration config directory Step 4 as per below article
https://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/docs/security/email-encryption/200379-Cisco-Email-Security-Plug-In-Installatio.html
On the Windows host, from the standard installation directory, open the user_id directory:
C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco IronPort Email Security Plug-In\<user_id>
I tried installing the plugin on my computer and see the below two locations
C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco IronPort Email Security Plug-In\Common
and
C:\ProgramData\Cisco\Cisco IronPort Email Security Plug-In\<user_id>
The CommonComponentsConfig.xml file under the common directory did not have the tags while the one under user_id folder did.
Hope that helps.

Thank you Libin,
I checked the user_id directory and the tags are listed.
Much appreciated.

Hi Libin,
After the above being put on hold for a few months, I am now back trying to test the install. I have the common folder and set up the commoncomponentsconfig.xml file as instructed. However, when running the command to use the custom files I continue to get the error that the setup wizard has ended prematurely.
Would you have any ideas what would be causing this? I have confirmed the pre-requisites are installed.
Any help appreciated.
Judith

Would need further review or detailed description of the error seen currently.
If all steps have been performed I would suggest opening a case with TAC to get this analysed further.

We currently use our ESA's to encrypt our emails and need to update our packaged version to work with 64-bit OS. As part of the install the outlook flag method used to be a check option. This is no longer the case. (current 7.6.0.038 Email security plugin)
We use the standard [Send secure] subject prepend to trigger this on the ESAs. I have downloaded the new 'Email Encryption plugin' version 1.1.20 and followed the guide below but I never get a 'config_1.xml' file created. Looking through many guides it mentions needing a token from the ESA as a note with no detail. I then look at the ESA admin guides and find no reference to BCE.
I just need a 64-bit compatible Email encryption plugin that will allow me to select the outlook flag option as the standard when installed is locked to 'Decrypt' only which doesn't help when trying to use the outlook flag and the button is greyed out.
For Outlook flag and ESA users the guides are very confusing indeed!
