Replacing hardware SMA while maintaining message tracking data and transferring quarantined messages

Is there a proper way to replace a hardware M170 with a hardware M190 while maintaining message tracking data and transferring quarantined messages/spam?

They are both running the same version AsyncOS version (10.1.0-052).

Run a backup from the old SMA to the new SMA, once the backup is completed
shut down old SMA

Check out this technote but it can take up to 24h to complete if you have a
lot of data
