Spam detected ratio degrade after upgrade from c350 to c370..?

Hi,

I just upgrade my ironport from c350 to c370,

before upgrade the spam ratio about 70% but after upgrade to c370 the spam ratio degrade to about 45%.

does any can provide some suggestion.. ?

Hello Adam,

the only possible reason I'd think of is that the newer appliance uses a different external IP address than the previous appliance. A lot of spammers don't check for MX records and sent directly to IP addresses. Other than that, there is no change in the software between the different models. Also not in the versions, but out of curiosity, do you use a different version of AsyncOS on the c370?

OK, quiet a difference in versions, however, should not have an impact on the spam ratio. So my question is, did you change any of the external IP addresses, also, which actual graph/statistic are you refering tow when talkingabout spam ratio  (blocked by reputation filtering, blocked spam, etc)? Also, did you compare the same time periods? If the upgrade was done just recently, a weekly or monthly view may yet not have the full dataset collected.
