Dear Cisco team,
Several months ago, I posted about a problem where Visual Studio compilation failed with TRK0002 Error, see https://community.cisco.com/t5/endpoint-security/compilation-with-visual-c-link-exe-fails-with-error-trk0002/td-p/4991053
The basic reason was, as far as I understand, that Cisco Endpoint Security was blocking the temporary .rsp files synchronously, preventing Visual Studio applications (cl.exe, link.exe, midl.exe, rc.exe) from accessing or deleting these very short-lived files.
The solution was to add several process and file exclusions, which worked for several months.
However, since about two weeks ago, the error has returned.
Could you tell me if there have been any changes to the handling of process exclusions? And if yes, do you have any suggestions how to solve it?
Best regards,
Stefan

Our handling of process exclusions haven't changed but Visual Studio may have updated their software rendering the exclusion paths or executables invalid. I'd recommend working with TAC to check the exclusions.
Thanks,
Matt

Hallo Matt,
Today the exclusion rules and compilation worked again. Sorry for the trouble I created.
best regards,
Stefan
