TES Oracle DB Monitoring

Hello:

I am interested in knowing if anyone has any monitoring setup on the Tidal Database. What tool is being used and what are you monitoring for. We have some basic monitoring of the server the database is running on however we're interested if there is anything we should be monitoring in the database itself. In my previous experience with the TES product we never had any monitoring setup however in my current position I am being asked to 'setup monitoring on the database'.

If you are wanting to do DBA-type monitoring on an Oracle database, I'm not familiar enough with TES (yet) to know if there is anything in that application to perform this type of function.  I do know that the DBA suite of add-on tools for TOAD includes some really nice database activity monitoring and reporting.  It's pricey but might be what you are looking for.
