How to filter OSPFv3 routing updates

Hi,

Is there any way to filter IPv6 routing updates ? I would like to prevent a router to propagate a default route further.

The distribute-list command seems to be only for redistribution when filtering outgoing update.

Hi,

OSPF (V2 or V3) is Link state protocol and so you cannot filter LSA within area. While Type 3 LSA filtering is possible with OSPFv2, it is not yet available for OSPFv3 to my knowledge. I beleive default route generated will be external LSA and so the only possibility I can think of is  to configure inbound distribute-list (denying the default route and permitting other prefixes) on all routers which will help to stop installing the prefix into RIB.
