Is NAT64 translation for prefix 64:FF9B:/96 enabled by default?

Hello, I'm trying to learn Dns64 + nat64.

I didn't configure NAT64 for prefix 64:FF9B::. However, it seems that the router support NAT64 translation for prefix 64:FF9B:: even though I configured NAT64 for another prefix.

Is it a designed operation? If  it is, when is the nat64 translation for 64:FF9B:: enabled?

Hi there,

The IPv6 prefix used for AAAA record and then the NAT64 process is arbitrary and can be set to anything, so long as it does not duplicate a globally routed address that is already in use. Ideally you would use a /96 from your own IPv6 address allocation.

What platform are you implementing it on, can you share the config?

cheers,

Seb.
