We have a ANAC box on our soon to be powered down PBX. It says the extension you are calling from when called. It's a helpful piece of kit that comes in handy when you're trying to ID an analog DN on an ATA in the field. Has anyone built anything like this in a Call Manager environment? Thanks, Bill

I did that in a CCX application. I imagine there are other ways to do it as well.

Seems like an interesting small project - can you share how it could/should work in a little more detail?
Does it need to be portable/audible/hands-free..?
If getting a Webex message with the DNIS when a call is made from the ATA to a test number is enough, it seems very easy to do with something like Twilio:

David, envision a tech out in the field with a buttset with no cell coverage. He removes the cover off a phone jack and clips onto its wire terminals and dials the internal ANAC number. The call connects. The tech then hears a robotic voice that says the extension he/she placed the call from. HTH.
