Hi
if anyone can give me some thoughts on this that would be great,
In an Service Provider enviromet, that uses MPLS, as an IGP would you recomend OSPF or IS-IS, and on what bases would you recomend that protocol ?

Both ISIS and OSPF are widely deployed in SP networks. Going to one or another depends on a lot of factors, one of them being or familiar your staff is with the protocol.
My preference would be ISIS as I believe it is more scalable. Also ISIS has always been the first IGP to support the new features such as MPLS TE, ipv6, etc because of the fact that it is more easily extendable.
Hope this helps,

as a bonus, a draft for RAPID routing and U-Turn routing is put on for RFC/standard. If implemented and with all finger crossed, the feature can reroute within 50ms (of course you need MPLS and LDP for this). This draft is for OSPF and ISIS.
