I have read on here that VPLS is only supported on the 7600. I am taking for granted it is a software feature, not hardware, correct? If that is not the case wouldn't it be available in the 6500 since they use the same hardware?
I looked (and couldn't find) VPLS through the feature navigator for either the 7600 or the 6500...so any information would be appreciated (like what IOS image should be used, what hardware can be configured for VPLS, etc.).
I see the newest 720 (3BXL) has hardware support for MLPS-VPN, but I am too new to this technology to know if this means the same thing.
Thanks!
