To have a 3000 series concentrator authenticate a user with a Secure ID token do I need an ACS server to front end the SecureID server or will the concentrator talk straight to the Secure ID server?

We use ACS with Secure ID.

Can you explain the benefit of having the ACS server with the SecureID server. My understanding is that the 3000 can interact with RSA server for authentication purposes. We have a client that is thinking of using an ACS server in conjunction with RSA but I can't see why you would need the extra piece.
Thanks

We authenticate users directly to the RSA server. Works fine. Seems the ACS just adds another point of failure.
