Can anyone assist with the following issue:
Scenario: XP client (SP1) connecting to Dot1x port (Cisco 4507-R switch) running IOS 12.2(25)EW.
1. The switch is sending an EAPOL identity request to the supplicant.
2. The supplicant responds with an identity response.
3. The switch declares that the switch port is a trunk port and therefore unable to function as a dot1x port.
At this point the dot1x session is terminated and the supplicants authentication details are not forwarded to the RADIUS server via an 'access-request'.
The port is actually configured as an access port...
Actual Debug:
"dot1x-err:Dot1x is supported only on Access,Routed and private-vlan host modes.Trunk port being Authorized!! something went wrong"
Is this a know bug?
