Hi,

A direct re-image should do.

Hi,

you can view the same on the system configuration >  Appliance Upgrade status.

The following link will give you all the details:

Hi,

Thanx a lot for your reply. I can check the same by tomorrow morning as I am not able to get remote session now.

For now can u pls. tell me which version does it mean :

Csamanager: Agent version=V4.0-1 build 543, os='Windows 2000', os version=5.0.4.2195

Hi,

The easiest way to check the version you are running is simply checking the initial page of ACS when you login on the Web GUI.

Also, to go to this page once you are already doing configs, you can simply click on the Cisco logo on the top left corner and the initial page shows up again.

Example:

Regarding your last question:

"Csamanager: Agent version=V4.0-1 build 543, os='Windows 2000', os version=5.0.4.2195"

This means ACS version 4.0.1 build 543.

HTH,

Tiago

Hi,

Thanks for your reply. As mentioned by you I have checked in appliance.

My ACS SE version is showing as V4.1(1) Build 23 Patch 5, Management software is V4.1.1.23.5, base image is 4.1.1.4, CSA Built is 4.0.1.543.2, Patch is 4_0_1_543.

From these info I think that the current version running is 4.1.1.23. Pls confirm me.

I need to upgrade the box to 4.2 software. Can I upgrade the box directly from 4.1.1.23 to 4.2 by only re-imaging the box and restore the config/data ? or do i need to upgrade it first to 4.1.1.24 then to 4.2 ? Pls confirm urgently

thanks in advance

Hi,

From the version info I provided is it correct that the currently running version is 4.1.1.23 ? Pl confirm urgently.

Also pls. confirm that If I upgrade from 4.1.1.23 to 4.2 directly by re-imaging as u mentioned only 4.2 recovery CD is enough. there is no need of 4.2 overall upgrade CD for CSCsh32888 patch upgrade.

Rgds

Hi Pradip,

From the version you provided you are running ACS 4.0. this was mentioned by my collegue as well in this thread.

Re-image is as good as formatting your PC. it will delete everything that you have and re-install the whole setup including the OS.

There is no need to apply the patch. I guess you are referring a wrong Installation guide. I think you are checking the installation guide of ACS 4.2 for windows.

Please refer installation guide of ACS 4.2 for Appliance.
