Hi All,

CAn anyone tell me wht configuration i hv to do to run cisco Secure ACS 3.0 server. please give me suggestion or give me any good link. i hv 6509,7513,12208 devices in my network.

Hi Ciscobuddy,

ACS 3.X (actually 3.2 is the latest release) is Authentication,Authorization and Accounting server that support Radius and Tacacs+ AAA Clients.

Regarding configuration - it depends what you want to achieve.

The devices you mentioned (Switch and 2 Routers) might need management and you'd like to have your administrators authenticated against ACS , given the appropriate privileges using authorization and ofcourse audited.

Usually Tacacs+ is used for this kind of functionality.
