Good day, experts,
I have a customer that has 2each ACS 1120 appliance running ACS 5.7. Customer wants to still run ACS 5.7 on new appliances (SNS-3515).
1. Will the large deployment license transition to the new appliance? Or will customer need to repurchase?
2. Confirmation that the customer will need to purchase the following:
· 2each SNS-3515 appliances (SNS-3515-ACS-K9)
· 2each ACS-SW-3515-UP-K9 SKU option under the SNS-3515-ACS-K9 Top Level SKU
Please confirm.
Thank you,
Jerry

Hi Jerry,
ACS 1120 is End of Life as you might know and if customers wants to move to SNS35xx series, they need to upgrade to 5.8.1. Here is the release notes that has compatibility information.
http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/net_mgmt/cisco_secure_access_control_system/5-8-1/release/notes/acs_581_rn.html#pgfId-434498
A backup and restore will carry over the license. Please make sure to get a minor upgrade license with SAS/support license for new platform/ACS(Table 4)

On a different note, given that ACS 5.8 End of life has been announced, it would be a good time to think about migrating to ISE and place it on the table.
ISE is a long term replacement for ACS and the good thing you can migrate from last 4 versions of ACS ( ACS 5.5 to 5.8) to ISE 2.1.
