Hello,
Does anyone know what type of encryption is used by ACS 5.8 TACACS when not using the FIPS 140-2 module? I read that the packets are encrypted, but I didn't find what encryption method is used.

It's a simple MD5 hash.

Hi Marvin, thanks for the quick reply. In further research, it appears that TACACS+ is not made FIPS 140-2 compliant by the FIPS module. Do you know if that is correct?
