Im afraid the remote agent is needed.

So not only do you need the appliance itself.. but another server to host the remote agent.

If you want to get rid of the Remote Agent then you will have to use Generic LDAP.

I assume you mean not AD LDAP.

I mean use the Generic LDAP database configuration on ACS to bind to AD. AD responds to ldap queries also.

Do you have a link to a white paper for this?

Thanks

Its possible to configure Microsoft AD as an external Database with the ACS SE. We need to install Remote agent on the AD or any of its member server.

We have also an option for adding Primary / Secondary remote agent.Secondary remote agent will be used when the primary remote agent is unavailable.
