I know Check Point firewalls can integrate with Active Directory to perform authentication. Can we do the same with Cisco Firewalls? with the ISR?

Cisco devices can be authenticated using Active Directory. But this authentication happens via ACS.
You need to have a ACS in your network, further this ACS database is integrated with windows Active Directory. So when you login as a user to the Cisco device the authentication request is send to the ACS by radius/tacacs protocol suite, checked in its own database, if this is integrated with AD then the request is forwarded to the AD user databse...
