I've inherited the adminstration of our ACS and right now it runs on Windows 2003 servers at version ACS v3.x.
But I have two ACS 1120 appliances (ACS 4.x) to migrate all AAA to and the previous administrator had things close to completion but I'm considering changing these IP addresses on these Primary & Secondary ACS. I plan to migrate AAA clients/groups a few at a time.
However, at the serial console 'login' prompt any known credentials fail. And I assume this is where the IP address must be changed since I have not found anything in the ACS web interface to allow changing it's IP address.
Is there any way to reset the serial console login prompt/password (short of factory reset)?

You are on the right track, however if you need to reset the administrators account, you will have to insert the installation dvd that came with the boxes and then reboot. Once it boots it will give you 4 options reimage (via console or keyboard/monitor) or reset the administrators password (console or keyboard/monitor).
You are on the right track. Once you get in you will able to make the ip change.
Let me know if you need anythign else.
