Hi all;
I have two ISE 3.1 (for HA) with Patch 5 in my production network. Several days ago, I decided to update ISE to Patch 6. So, uploaded the patch file onto the primary ISE internal storage and then through the CLI, updated it successfully. But, when I want to upload the patch file to the second ISE internal storage using GUI, at the end of the uploading process, the "BAD Gateway" error message appears on the GUI and the Application Server service restarts on the primary ISE and so the upload process fails...
Any ideas?
Thanks

If the ISE API Gateway and/or ISE Application Server restarts when you upload a patch file to the LocalDisk Management storage... that's a problem. Submit a TAC case to troubleshoot it especially if it is repeatable for you.

Hi all;
Fortunately, I managed to resolve the issue by acting based on the below instructions:
1. Upgrading Primary PAN to Patch 7. Test the situation again and unfortunately, the problem still there.
2. Deregistering the Secondary PAN.
3. Upgrading the Secondary PAN using CLI method to Patch 7 successfully.
4. Re-registering it again to the ISE cube and everything is OK now as I can successfully upload files to its local repository (the operation that were unsuccessful before).

- Could you try to upload the patch on the second ISE using the CLI also (?)

When I do so, it times out.

- When it times out , it probably means that the second ISE has a network-path-problem , to the intended external repository , check for instance if you can ping the server containing it (e.g.) Also check tftp , scp , ... servers logs depending on the type of transfer protocol being used
