Hello team,
I would like to know if SXP is supported on C2960 switches?
I found 2 contradictory information and need to understand which one is correct
The Release note below is showing C2960 supporting SXP
However, in this internal document (attached) is mentioned that SXP is not supported on C2960 switches

Eliane,
A simpler source of info would be to look at https://www.cisco.com/c/dam/en/us/solutions/collateral/enterprise-networks/trustsec/platform-capability-matrix.pdf
You will see the versions like the 2960 S that do support SXP, but the base 2960 does not.
The difference between those that do and do not are all down to memory really (e.g. S has twice as much as the older base 2960 product) When we were in development testing, we were finding that running SXP with typical customer 802.1X/identity configurations was leading to unhealthy levels of memory utilisation so SXP was never supported on the base 2960.
Best regards,
Kevin
