I've run into an annoying issue with my ACS 5.2 install.
I can no longer add directory groups in the AD settings, the ACS comes back with "The item you are trying to delete is referenced by other items. You must remove all references to this item before it can be deleted." but I am not deleting any group, just adding.
Could probably be cleared with removing the AD setup completely, which for obvious reasons is not something I want to do.

I wanted to know if you see all the services running when you type in "show application status acs" from the cli? Also I wanted to know if you have tried to restart the services "acs stop" then "acs start" and is the issue still present?
Also what patch level are you on?
Thanks,
Tarik

Hello Tarik.
I'm currently on ACS 5.2.0.26.5, problem started showing up in 5.2.0.26.3.
I've done a full system restart on the primary instance to no avail, all services shows as running as they should.
I also can't find anything helpful in the logs.

When you say logs have you tried to set the logging level debug on the acs and downloading the support bundle?
You can create a tac case or try to find the issue yourself by doing the following:
after logging into the cli, issue the acs-config command (you will login again but this time webgui credentials)
then issue the debug-log runtime level debug.
Reproduce the issue and download the support bundle. Check with the acsRuntime.log and see if you notice any errors.
thanks,
Tarik
