Chap authentication between router/firewall and radius server

Hi All,

I have a microsoft isa radius server for authentication (server 2000), and will be using either a 2811 or 506e for VPN clients using the cisco VPN client for remote access. I need to set up authentication between the router or firewall and the server with encryption, NOT pap.I need to have the users name and password not being sent in plain text between the router/pix and the radius server. HELP!!! I also need to have supporting documentation like RFC, cisco docs, etc...

You can configure a secret key on your tacacs+ or radius server and configure the same key on your router withe the command tacacs-server key or radius-server key
