Hi I have a upgrade 5.3 to 5.8.1, i wanna to know how long time, how many hour will be took for the data upgrade
Step 4 To monitor the status of the ACS View data upgrade, login to ACS web interface after all the services are up and running, from the Monitoring and Report Viewer, chooseMonitoring and Reports > Dashboard.
The Monitoring and Reports dashboard displays the status as “Data Upgrade in Progress” if the upgrade is in progress. If the dashboard does not display any status, then the upgrade is completed successfully. The dashboard displays the “upgrade failed” message when the ACS View upgrade is failed.

You need to first upgrade ACS TO 5.5 then upgrade to 5.8.1

You have to upgrade in steps: Apply 5.3 patch 8 (and above) > Apply Pointed Patch > Apply 5.5 > Apply 5.5 patch 10 > Apply 5.8.1
The time taken for upgrade depends on the policies you have configured on the ACS and size of backups on the disk.
You can view the status of view database upgrade from Monitoring and Report Viewer > Dashboard:
-The Monitoring and Reports dashboard displays the status as “Data Upgrade in Progress” if the upgrade is in progress.
- If the dashboard does not display any status, then the upgrade is completed successfully.
- The dashboard displays the “upgrade failed” message when the ACS View upgrade is failed.
