Cisco ISE ADE-OS lifecycle?

Hello everyone,

My superiors are concerned about the difference in versions of ADE-OS devices SNS-3695-K9 with Cisco ISE.

I have the "application" (Cisco in version 2.6.0.156 with patch 10:

Cisco Application Deployment Engine OS Release: 2.6
ADE-OS Build Version: 2.6.0.900.42
ADE-OS System Architecture: x86_64

Version information of installed applications

Cisco Identity Services Engine

Version : 2.6.0.156
Build Date : Tue Feb 12 01:45:06 2019
Install Date : Fri Feb 25 08:08:22 2022

Cisco Identity Services Engine Patch
---------------------------------------------
Version : 10
Install Date : Fri Mar 04 08:14:26 2022

But what worries them is the version of ADE-OS that, as you can see, some computers are in version 2.6.0.900.42 and others in 3.0.5:

Cisco Application Deployment Engine OS Release: 3.0
ADE-OS Build Version: 3.0.5.144
ADE-OS System Architecture: x86_64

I know that I have to update the application NOW to 2.7 or 3.1, but I have not found any information about the life cycles of the ADE-OS versions.

Do you know where I can find information about the life cycle of ADE-OS versions?

How can I update only the ADE-OS version, without touching the application version?

Thanks

Great question, I missed this fact in your original post.  Sounds like a TAC case to me.  Was the appliance shipped with a version of ISE 3.X and then downgraded?

ADE-OS is the "base" OS that ISE runs on top of.  When you update ISE, you also update the ADE-OS pieces.

Thank you, but how come I have the same ISE version on two appliances, but different ADE-OS versions?

I'm not sure.... but it might be the reason... I'll ask my work mates or the supplier.

I will post what I find
