Cisco ISE listing of 'Consumption Count' licenses

We are running ISE 2.7.0.356.  We are in the process of renewing our licenses.  but we are needing to get a listing of the devises on the 'Consumption Count' listing.  us there a way to get the listing without the administrative portal being fully operational?  (Meaning the admin portal is in 'limp mode' until we complete the license renewal.

What is 'limp mode'?

If you can't see the consumption in the ISE Licensing page then perhaps the only other option would be to get the session count via REST API. But I don't suppose that is an option ...

If you have CLI access you can dump the endpoint database and then filter on the number of endpoints that have been active (inactiveDays=0) - but that is only an approximation, because license usage measured on active sessions. But it might give you a ballpark figure.

Alternatively, log into every WLC, every switch and VPN controller etc., and tally the session counts.

Sounds like you have hit the scenario where the license usage has been exceeded for over 45 days in a 60 day period. Then ISE Admin GUI will put you in a walled garden where all you can do is to feed it more licenses.

TAC can create temporary licenses to get you out of a hole. Then you have visibility again, and then place the commercial order for the correct number of licenses to bring you into compliance.

I will try those suggestions. Plus my local rep is telling me it is more of an issue that my license is not reflected correctly in the GUI, so they are looking at that with me.

As far as ‘limp mode’, well, the admin GUI only has the ability to see the license problem. All other functions are disabled. That to me really sounds like the limp mode on a car with a problem to me. Lol
