Cisco ISE Restore from Backup

I am planning to restore a backup of Cisco ISE to a new VM. The backup is of a VM that is in HA mode.

What will happen if I restore a backup from HA setup to a non HA VM? Does it stay as non HA VM?

Hi @dnnate ,

remember that ... when you restore the Configuration Backup without restoring ADE-OS, the Node will be a Standalone Node without the OS Configuration Data of the ISE Server the backup was taken from (like hostname, IP Addr, NTP, ...).

Note: restoring ADE-OS you will have an exact duplicate of the ISE Server the backup was taken from.

Hope this helps !!!

Yes, both VMs in HA are working. We intend to replace them with the new one, once fully configured.  The new VM will have a new hostname

you can offline prepare.
