Clean and patch ACS v4.2(0.124)

Greetings,

I need some advise on properly patching and/or cleaning the ACS version listed in the title.

First off - what does the Cleaning utility do?

Second - I have obtained the two following files:

ACS-4.2.0.124.17-SW

ACS-4.2.0.124.16-Clean

Can these both be used to (hopefully) correct a problem we have with our current installation?

Hi,

The clean utility is basically used for uninstalling.

so ACS-4.2.0.124.16-Clean will remove the patch 16 on the ACS.

I am not aware of the problem you are facing in your current installation so i cannot provide an answer to you on the same.

Clean is used to wipe our ACS. Using ACS-4.2.0.124.16-Clean will completely uninstall ACS 4.2.0.  After using clean you need to install back 4.2 and that patch 17.
