csutil on CS 3.3

Using csutil, I tried to transfer a user from one group to another (csutil -d -n -l)

This was a testcase for later bulk import/export. after restart of processes, the changes are not reflected in the GUI, when I ask a csutil -d, the changes show in the dump.txt file. Why does the GUI doesn't reflect these changes ?

If you restarted the processes from the GUI itself, this doesn't actually stop the CSAdmin process (the one that controls the GUI), otherwise you'd lose your session. Try manually restarting the CSAdmin service specifically using Control Panel - Services and see if the change is reflected then.
