Does anyone can create a random guest account more than 10 ?

Hi, Experts

I'm currently using ISE 1.1.1 to demonstration with my customer. In the sponsor page, does anyone can create the random guest to be more than 10 accounts at a time ?

I have try to create with 20 accounts then get the error as below,

Internal error encountered.  Please contact administrator or help desk.

However the random accounts are created only 10 accounts.

Since the system said that it can create from 1 up to 10,000 accounts.

Hi,

I just tested this and I was able to generate 20 accounts successfully. Do you have patch 1 installed on your ISE node? Also what group is your sponsor account mapped to? I used an account that is mapped to the SponsorAllAccount group.

Here is my ISE information,

ISE-VM with 4GB memory, 68GB for Harddisk

Standalone node with Admin / Policy / Monitor personas

Base + Advance License

ISE 1.1.1.268

Patch 1 applied

Any suggestion, still cannot generate more than 10 accounts at a time.

Also is the user account you are using mapped to the same sponsor group that I tested with. Here is what I would suggest, also since you are running in a demo deployment how many guest accounts have you created? Here is what I think you should try:

• If there are a lot of guest user accounts created, delete them all and try again.
• Create a new user and map them to the sponsor group and try using that account to generate the accounts
• ssh into the appliance, and issue the command "application ise stop" wait till all services stop, followed by "application ise start"

Lets see if that does the trick.

Another thing that I do is create the new VM with 200GB of harddisk space.  Install fresh ISO 1.1.1 and update the patch 1. It still contains with this problem. Any idea for this issue ?

What kind of log file that may help me to resolve this problem ?

I found the root cause of this problem. If you define the minimum number to include less than 2, you will not able to generate the guest account more than 10 (0-9)

This issue get solved !!!
