dot1x - Computer Authentication not working

Wired users.

When PC boots up and tries to perform "computer authentication" with ACS and then Win2003 AD, I get the following error:

"External DB user invalid or bad password"

Check for the failed attempt does it display this format:

host/

Check in the Auth.log for the same time range as in the Failed Attempt.

Is the computer part of the same domain as the ACS?

Yes, host/, and the PC is in the same domain

As ACS. ACS is a domain member not domain controller.

I have also added the computer account "CISCO" in AD.

Looking at the logs looks like communication issue with AD.

Make sure the integration of AD and ACS is done perfectly.Verify the user authentication by using a valid user account from AD on any of the device such as Switch or Router.

Make a checklist of step wise procedure and be sure no single step was missed during integrating AD and ACS

did you see any errors in the even viewer on the AD.
