Duplicate Messages - SNMP Traps sent by Cisco ISE

Hello,

Since we enabled SNMP traps for disk threshold, we observed to receive the same Trap within the same time twice.

And therefore, we are wondering whether there is any parameter we could configure or do we hit a bug.

Or are those Informal syslog messages send as trap, which could be turned off.

I would appreciate any advice.

Duplicate SNMP traps is not a normal situation and your config looks correct. You might try disabling the SNMP config, and then reloading the node, and then re-adding it.  SNMP in ISE is pretty badly implemented, and I suffered with really stupid bugs for many years, until Cisco got it right in around ISE 3.3 p4. Failing that, upgrade/patch - or Cisco TAC.

My issues were mostly around SNMPv3 - and I don't use traps any more - only the SNMP MIB for NMS polling of the ISE nodes. 

ISE Syslog Event Message 32016 'System Reached low disk space limit' can do the same job as the SNMP disk warning trap (but the threshold is not configurable) - just check the Category 'Internal Operations Diagnostics' in the ISE GUI.  Administration > System >Message Catalog

Cisco ISE allows you to send hrSWRunName traps for Cisco ISE process statuses to the SNMP manager if you configure an SNMP host from the Cisco ISE CLI. Cisco ISE uses a cron job to trigger these traps. The cron job retrieves the Cisco ISE process status from Monit. After you configure the SNMP-Server Host command from the CLI, a cron job runs every five minutes and monitors Cisco ISE.

As far as SNMP configuration goes, you can configure a remote SNMP trap receiver (v1/v2/v3) and then you get the disk thresholds and the 5 min dump of the information below - I have not found the MIB files to decode this though - but it does look like process/disk status information
