is that possible to configure email notification alerts in ACS 4.2.

Hi,

You can certainly do so. You can get email notification from the ACS or you can even send them to SMTP server.

Email notification can only be configured for those alerts when any service goes down. If you want to recive these alerts via email then go to > system
configuration > ACS Active Service Management.
