Hi
I've working a freeradius server and AP1200 with EAP-TLS authentication.
I'm trying to configure accounting in my AP1200 for EAP-TLS users, but my AP doesn't send any acct packet to my radius server when a wireless user connects. I've tried all options with aaa accounting command , but it didn“t work.
Is there any sample to do it?
thanks
thanks

Is EAP accounting supported in the version of the software you are running? You need to look in the release notes and ensure that the feature you are trying to configure is indeed supported.

Yes
There is an option in security--SSID manager to enable accounting. When this option is marked and you have enabled accounting settings in the file radiusd.conf, it works

Hi,
I wonder if someone could help me. We configured a D-LINK DWL2000+ accesspoint for using a freeRadius server with eap/tls to see if everything works just fine. Now we are 100% sure that the radius server is setup correctly. The next step is to configure a Aironet 1200 accesspoint to use this radius server for authentication of the wireless users. And this is not an easy task. We use the IOS version of the ap. In the security tab->server manager of the web frontend we are able to setup the ip:port of our aaa server. In the SSID Manager we configured the ap to use EAP Authentication Servers. As priority 1 we selected the ip of our server. The encryption is disabled. If we try to connect with our supplicant (a xp sp2 machine that worked with the other ap and our radius server) there a no debug messages that there is any communication between our server and the accesspoint. Within the ap ios we are able to ping the server and vice versa.
Has anyone an idea how to setup the accesspoint correctly? We have some ios experience on catalyst routers. But it is the first time we have to setup an cisco accesspoint.
Thank you in advance,
radiusdXA
