HELP - CSAuth Fails to load with ACS V4.0.1 - Any ideas Please

I have a HP server running Cisco Secure ACS v4.0.1 on an HP DL380, with Win2003 Server Standard Edition, SP1. Processor is Xeon 2.4Ghz, Memory is 1.5Gb. Complete software version is 5.2.3790 Service Pack 1 Build 3790.

When the server starts, CSAuth fails to start. I've tried this manually but with no joy. The error from Windows 2003 I get is

Event 3 (first one that occurs) = SL:loadAllHosts - host_SetIPString failed

Event 1 = CSxxxx could not be started: can not load host db (service specific

error 75)

Any feedback would be most welcomed

Hello Malcolm,

can you check the csauth.log file on your server for any information on why the service wouldn´t start ?

The file is usually located in:

Program Files\Cisco Secure ACS vx.x\CSAuth\logs
