Hello everyone,

I have a virtual ASA using VMware:

the ASA is using the following interface: VMnet1 10.0.0.200 Interface g 0/0 is set to 10.0.0.100

My loop-back interface is: 10.0.0.150

I can successfully ping the IP 10.0.0.100 from my PC but not the other way around, and I can see the page https://10.0.0.100/admin/public/index.html

But when I try to access ASDM I get the error:

unable to launch device manager from 10.0.0.100

please help !!!

Do this:

http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0  inside

Then, try to access the inside IP not loopback.

Take a look on Java as I said.

Hi @malmjally

If you can ping the firewall then ok.

A few steps you need to went through:

On ASA:

http  'PC's IP address'  'Mask'    inside

This permit you PC to connect to the ASA.

But most important, you need to edit your Java configuration on your PC. Lower the security level for "low" and add the ASA IP address as trusted IP address.

 See attached.

thank you Flavio Miranda for your replay

I tried the following command:

enable http server

http10.0.0.150 255.255.255.0 inside

and I still get the same error !

the IP 10.0.0.150 is the loopback interface IP, what do you think I should do?

Do this:

http 0.0.0.0 0.0.0.0  inside

Then, try to access the inside IP not loopback.

Take a look on Java as I said.
