Impact of removing Nodes from a Node group

Hi experts,

What is the impact of removing PSN nodes from a Node group ?

Does the PSNs get restarted ?

To answer your question, I just removed a node from my Node Group.  The node did not restart and no processes restarted on that node.

Hi, I hope you'll have already taken the pre- requisite security measures like backup, de-registering the node from node group etc.

Please concern with the installation guide.

You can move nodes in and out of a node group, but in general, ALL nodes in same campus/LAN should be assigned to same node group.  The impact is related to replication.  Any PSN that is...

     not part of a node group

     disconnected from node group

     or member of node group that needs to connect to another node group

...must always communicate to Primary PAN to replicate updates. All changes with exception of a few significant attributes are replicated locally and kept local to node group.
